“I have found the 12-week course to be extremely helpful in guiding me through my weight loss journey.

My main reason for taking the course was a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

I was given lots of information on how carbs turn into sugar, which I had struggled to understand, and this really helped me make sense of it all. I’ve made dietary changes to exclude processed foods, cut right down on red meat, and switched from white bread, rice etc. to seeded wholegrains and pulses.

I’ve tried lots of new foods, who knew I would end up loving chickpeas and quinoa! and now do lots of batch cooking from scratch so there is always a healthy option in the freezer for busy days.

I’ve lost just over a stone in 12 weeks, and although my latest blood test results don’t reflect the changes I had hoped for, I will continue on this journey because I simply feel so much better in myself and I refuse to be beaten by the pesky blood sugar!

I cannot thank Sandy enough for the help, support, encouragement and guidance she has given me.

All I can say is, if you are thinking about doing this course, just go for it – what have you got to lose? Nothing (except hopefully weight!).”
